A Reflection on our 2012

And so just like that, 2012 is closing to an end already, and what a year it’s been!

Since we began our work with Charities over 6 years ago, we have worked hard to grow year on year, and move from strength to strength; and we are very happy to say that this year has not been an exception.

We’ve been very happy to see a record number of charities move to appoint us to handle calls for their campaigns, and been even happier to hear their joy on the results we have delivered. From animal charities to humanitarian, and from medical charities to children’s, our client base has grown, and our Angels have been rising to the task of surpassing everyone’s expectations. But as always, as we move into new areas of fundraising, we have been constantly bowled over by the generosity of the general public in helping support the vital work of these organisations.

For us, one of the many highlights of the year included exhibiting at the IOF National Convention for the first time ever. It was brilliant to be amongst such a buzzing and knowledgeable crowd, all making the most of the valuable information that was on hand, and working pro-actively to push fundraising to that next level. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, meet lots of new ones, and also go a little bit crazy with our cup-cakes, and generally spread a little bit of the Angel spirit!

Some further news that we would like to share with you is on some of our internal changes here at Angel. As part of our continual development as a company and as part of our constant strive to deliver the best to our clients we have recently merged two departments.

Rebecca Wilton is now managing both the Business Development and Client Executive Team.

Huw Bradley is continuing his excellent work in the development of our relationships in the charity sector.

The Client Executive team, with Ben Vian in the role of Senior Client Executive with his wealth of knowledge and experience, continue to deliver our strong account management.

Amongst these further changes we have in the last few months employed two new Client Executives to extend the team alongside our growth, and we’re sure you will look forward to meeting them soon if you haven’t already done so.

Early in the year we also welcomed to Angel Jennie Boulton, who has played a significant role as our training and development Manager. She has worked to implement a number of training modules for our phone angels in customer care, sales, and delivering charity focussed passion when handling calls.

Jennie has also worked on developing relationships with local colleges to provide agents with the opportunity to complete NVQs in a number of skills that have all contributed to our improving results throughout the year.

Several of our more experienced agents have also been promoted to duty manager positions. As well as knowing our clients inside out, they work under the leadership of Martin Cundy our operations manager, to deliver perfect calls and help develop the skills and knowledge base of new agents.

Looking into 2013, already we can see many exciting things coming up.

From DRTV to train panels, and from outbound upgrades to mobile regular giving, as usual, January looks to be an exciting and busy period.

From 1st of January right through to the spring, we are thrilled once again to have a diverse line-up of new and exciting clients that we will be working with for the first time.

As well as looking to build on our learnings from this year and expand throughout 2013, we of course will continue providing a proactive and professional level of service to all our clients.
